Eight Dice Cloth is an eight piece traditional jazz band based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. We play a mix of jazz, swing, and early blues from the 20's and 30's creating an authentic experience that's true to the music of yesterday. Getting people to dance is what we love the most!

Eight Dice Cloth is a fun loving band. Though we take ourselves very seriously, we truly love early jazz and some of it can be so joyful. We love to laugh and enjoy the company of our audiences. You can expect to be wowed by our deep selection of early jazz songs from the 20's and 30's. We don't play the typical songs you hear from every other band in New Orleans, we carefully hand pick songs that we love and know haven't been overplayed.
You can also expect to want to shake loose, cut a rug, dance, and have a good time with us.
Eight Dice Cloth is a traditional jazz band based out of New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 2014, Eight Dice Cloth has steadily been performing throughout New Orleans, with the occasional trip out west. Through it's 9 years, the band has explored many different early jazz artist such as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and Johnny Dodds. Their recent deep dive into New Orleans legend and composer, Armand J Piron, has led the band to some new horizons, with a new album dedicated to the Piron set to be released in the fall of 2023.
Eight Dice Cloth is heavily influenced by Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington, Clifford Hayes, Armand J Piron and many other greats from yesteryear.
