Eddie arrived early to set up and discuss musical expectations with us. It was quickly obvious that he is a very accomplished musician. Also one of the hardest working performers I’ve seen. His positive attitude is infectious and everybody in attendance loved listening to him. I would use him again for sure and recommend him to anyone else.
Response from Eddie Paton:
Thank You Tom! It was a pleasure working with you and a joy to be a part your wedding celebration.
We had Eddie play at my 50th birthday celebration and let's just say that he was amazing. His smooth sounds provided the perfect vibe for a relaxed evening, while also being very entertaining. He took what was sure to be a fun evening and turning it into a great event that our friends are still talking about months later. I am looking forward to having Eddie join us this year at our company summer bash. Thanks Eddie!
Response from Eddie Paton:
Thanks so much Dan! It was a real pleasure playing music for your family and friends at your 50th birthday party! I enjoyed chatting with your friends about music between sets too. I would love to work with you again in the future. Cheers!
I contacted Ed to play at my friend's wedding and he was the standout of the day!
The bride and groom changed their minds a few times, but he handled it professionally. One of the family members was Spanish and so Eddie added some latin flair to a song or two.
Level of artistic performance was outstanding...likely why people still talk about the music at that wedding today.
Can't say enough!

Response from Eddie Paton:
Thanks for taking the time to write this review Don. The Grist Mill was a beautiful location for the wedding service and I had fun adding in some classic Latin guitar material for the family and guests before the ceremony. I was thrilled to be part of this celebration, thank you for inviting me to perform!

Versatile guitarist, singer, composer, Eddie Paton is an award winning musician who thrives on his eclectic career. A classically trained guitarist, Eddie studied on full scholarship at the University of Western Ontario. He is a former member of the three time JUNO nominated group Sultans of String and co-founder of the critically acclaimed music project ReDuX:RMx. Eddie has toured North America, the British Isles, and the Middle East with Sultans of String, Robert Michaels, Johannes Linstead, and Kevin Laliberté, and appears on a number of major and independent cd releases. Recently, internationally renowned, and award winning recording artist Pavlo offered Eddie a position in his band. Eddie is thrilled to be part of Pavlo's group as they tour the United States and Canada
After dabbling in piano and clarinet for a couple of years, Eddie began his captivation with guitar at age 11 when his Mom, a classically trained pianist, enrolled him in lessons at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. There, Eddie studied classical guitar throughout his high school years, while also nurturing his passion for pop music by strumming along on his classical guitar to artists like the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and John Mellencamp. This flirting with the acoustic sound outside of the classical genre, led to his discovery of the Gypsy Kings and he started mimicking their style of rumba flamenco guitar strumming and soloing on his classical guitar. In his late teens and twenties Eddie developed a love for electric guitar, playing in bands performing music by some of his favourite rock artists: The Who, Triumph, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, Rush, and Eric Clapton to name a few. In addition to his work on acoustic, nylon and steel string guitars, Eddie has continued to play in many rock, R&B and dance bands over the years.
When not performing, Eddie is in the studio writing and recording original compositions reflective of his love for latin, pop, rock, electronica and cinematic music. Eddie is a Latin category winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, the Great American Songwriting Contest and the Billboard Songwriting Contest. Eddie, along with his ReDuX:RMx partner Bret Menezes, co-wrote the score to the Sea World Australia show Pirates Unleashed.
His debut album, SOLIS, features the artistry of his distinctive and diversified guitar playing across twelve tracks of lush nylon, steel and electric guitar soundscapes infused with elements of electronica.
“Sure attack, beautiful acoustic tone, impressive technique, and uplifting melodies”, GUITAR PLAYER magazine.
