My fee is based on time required and play list. I will work with you to create music for your event. I have an extensive repertoire and can include a lecture format and audience participation. I have published articles on the history of bagpiping. I can even teach a few easy folk dances.
I have over 40 years experience playing the bagpipes in a variety of venues. I have led several pipe bands and have competed at the highest level of amateur competition. I have played in several folk groups. I lived in Scotland and spent many summers in Cape Breton which has given me a grounding in Celtic music. I have also explored and can play music from Brittany and Galicia. I am currently the Director of the US Naval Academy Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers which requires both teaching and performing. I work with people to individualize the performances and events, both musically and visually. It is your event and I want to ensure the music fits your vision.
