DUO SUDESTE was formed by guitarists, Robert Thompson and Joey Butler. They specialize in music from South America and Spain and have performed across the United States, NPR and Brazilian radio. Their CD's "Viagem ao Sul" and "Noviembre" feature guitar music from Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, France, Spain, and Venezuela. Their new 2024 CD will feature the debut composition by Grammy Award Winning Brazilian Composer, Sérgio Assad and many others. In Nashville they have performed at Cheekwood, The Frist Museum, Belmont University, MTSU, TN Arts Academy, and TN State University. DUO SUDESTE blends the relaxing calm and the fiery soul found in Latin American music.
