Dumisani “Dumi RIGHT” Ndlovu is an MC, writer and organizer, who has been recognized as a standard bearer for global hip-hop for almost twenty-five years. Over that time, his influence has been documented in the international mass media as well as in academic works of hip-hop history, including Say It Loud! The Story of Rap Music by K. Maurice Jones and The Hip Hop Wars by Tricia Rose.
He was first introduced to audiences in 1992 as a member of Zimbabwe Legit, one of the first African hip hop groups to gain international recognition. In the years since, he has continued to perform both internationally and domestically, including at such venues as the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian Institution.
He has also collaborated on recordings with artists from around the globe, as well as with notable US hip-hop luminaries including the Jungle Brothers, Mr. Lif, stic man (dead prez), Chubb Rock, Vast Aire, YZ, and Prince Po.
