Available for public and private events. Created by two 5’3” musicians in St. Louis, MO, Dueling Hobbits Productions has grown to feature numerous talented, professional musicians offering performances within 500 miles of Portland, OR, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO.

April 4, 2025Overall we had a great experience with Dueling Hobbits. Great attitude and great music. Very talented. Showed up on time and did exactly as we asked. The music started out fairly loud for our group. When I asked them to turn it down, they responded very well and did as I asked. The comments from our group were very positive. They had people dancing towards the end of their set. I would recommend them to others.

August 29, 2023I would highly recommend Shannon and his band, the Dueling Hobbits, to anyone looking for a band or dueling piano show to perform at their wedding. They are not only incredibly talented, but they are also super engaging with the audience.
Shannon was so easy to work with and took the time to understand our vision for a 50s/60s vibe atmosphere. He even sang some verses from Nat King Cole's "When I Fall in Love" during our ceremony, which blew our guests away! I couldn't have asked for a better ceremony entrance as I walked down the aisle.
During the reception, they were even better than we could have imagined. They played all of our favorite songs and got everyone on the dance floor. They continuously interacted with the crowd and kept the energy high throughout the night. They were also very professional and reliable.
We received so many compliments from our guests about the band. Everyone said it was the best experience they had at a wedding. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to hire the Dueling Hobbits. They made our wedding day truly unforgettable.

January 12, 2020Shannon and his crew were spectacular. Extremely entertaining and worth every penny! Very accommodating and willing to go the extra mile to make my wife’s birthday party both memorable and exciting. The whole crew was talented and great to work with. A great decision to hire them for our event.

December 9, 2018We thoroughly enjoyed Kevin Guitron with Dueling Hobbits for our company Christmas Party. Kevin had the crowd involved from the very first song and kept everyone’s attention for 2 hours. Dancing, singing and celebrating at it’s best! We included the drummer with our dueling piano package-gave the songs a great foundation. Was really impressed with their capabilities and support during our Raffle Drawings as they provided improvised accompaniment to the winners making their way up to the stage. Thanks Dueling Hobbits for a wonderful evening!!

Dueling Hobbits Productions offers the hottest all request, all sing-a-long, all dance-a-long entertainment available. The company provides nationwide piano entertainment for all occasions. Their company prides itself on supreme musicianship. The Hobbits now feature numerous talented piano players, vocalists, and drummers at shows nationwide. All request shows run nonstop up to 4 hours without breaks and can be described as having live all request DJ’s with a side of comedy. They offer a variety of services from tasteful background solo piano entertainment, to classy wedding ceremony music, to their high energy all request dueling piano shows.
With performers that cover 1000’s of songs from multiple decades and genres, shows are sure to provide highly interactive entertainment for all ages and demographics at private events, fundraisers, public venues, or pretty much any party. Another unique feature of the Dueling Hobbits is their dueling training program for up and coming talent. Contact the Dueling Hobbits for a quote or to inquire about their training program.
Set up Requirements:
We need access to two outlets. Our setup requires a minimum space of 14'x16' for our basic entertainment package of two digital grand pianos and a drum set. We provide our own professional lights and sound. We typically require 2 hours of setup time and a minimum of 1 hour of tear down time. Contact us for a stage plot and an input list.
Travel Requirements:
For local shows up to 100 miles away, no travel or lodging required. For shows between 100-250 miles away, we require one night of lodging for players. Gigs beyond 250 miles away, we require two nights of lodging for players.

If you can request it, we can most likely play it! A typical pairing of our dueling piano performers can cover over 1,000 songs from multiple decades in a variety of genres. If you request a song our performers have heard of but have never played before, they will usually step off stage and listen to the song, then come back up and perform it for you! Our performers' learning curve is incredible!
All artists and genres have influenced us. Our past and present exposure and performance experiences have helped us refine our craft as dueling piano players. Both our past experiences playing in various cover bands and tribute bands over the years as well as the music we were exposed to growing up have all helped our musicians grow into superb human jukeboxes.
