Overview
California’s most exhilarating dueling/solo piano shows! For dueling, we provide 2 talented pianist/vocalist, two grand pianos, and provide you with 2-4 hours of continuous interactive entertainment. We take requests and can play anything from the 50's to current hits, from country, rap, rock and everything else. A live drummer or keyboard-drums are available upon request. Great for any event-corporate, weddings, fund raisers, birthdays, (we facilitate all parts of sound/entertainment). Solo shows, we provide vocals/piano, and guitar, custom songs available! 🎹🎶

We hired Jason to play our "after-hours" party in a wine cave for our wedding in Plymouth, CA, and we could not have made a better choice. We were planning across country, and had never heard Jason in person, but after speaking with a couple brides who used him for their entire reception, we were sold. He was superb. He knew so many songs, and was super fun and easy to work with leading up to the event. All of our guests were dancing the entire time and complimented us afterwards about how unique and fun having a piano player was. I would recommend Jason for any type of event!
Singing Pianist
We hired Jason and Dave to play a 300+-person event with attendees' ages ranging from early 20s to late 70s. It can be a challenge to find music to grip an audience that spans so many generations and tastes, but Jason and Dave were up to the task nonetheless.
It was so much fun watching them work the room, raising the vibes and warming people up to the concept of a Dueling Pianos show. They were playful, encouraging guests to request songs while artfully delivering their own renditions of so many great tunes across genres from classic rock to modern hip-hop. People were singing and dancing along for hours.
Jason was such a pleasure to work with - a consummate professional who made each step of the way as easy as possible for us to go through. In a post-event survey, many of our guests noted the Dueling Pianos was a highlight for them.

We had them perform at our gallery/winery fall release party. It was an absolute blast. They played every song you know every word to and months later I'm still sore from dancing. Hire them! You'll be so pleased. Nicest, most professional people and so talented.
Dueling Pianos
I hired Jason for my birthday party. Simply put, he made the party. He expertly read the audience throughout the evening, constantly keeping energy levels high and everyone engaged. At times that meant a bit of karaoke, and at others, mashup group sing-a-longs. He even went so far as to customize lyrics to include guests' names in some of the songs. I was concerned the lone youngster at the party would be bored, but Jason managed to continually keep her entertained as well. He started by handing her the mic during the theme of Frozen, and she was captivated for the rest of the evening.
There are lots of options when it comes to hiring entertainment for a party, and Jason falls squarely at the top of the list. Give him a shot for your next event, you absolutely will not be disappointed.

This is the second time our elementary school has used Jason & co for dueling pianos! Jason is easy to work with before the event and very crowd pleasing! He is able to read the crowd and keep things interesting the whole show. We had a blast! Thank you, Jason!
Dueling Pianos
I hired Modern Dueling Pianos to play at my sons rehearsal dinner for a surprise, and what a surprise it was!!! From the beginning Jason handled all the details listened to what type of crowd he was entertaining and then ran with it!! He was on set up on time and honestly one of the kindest people you will meet. He nailed every song request. There was actually one off the wall song he looked it up quickly and preformed perfectly on the spot ...that is a professional! Hire Jason you will not regret it, singing and laughing all night perfect combo!

Jason provided a wonderful piano player for a celebration of life. Both Jason and Alex were so thoughtful and kind. I really appreciate the kind words that they had. The pianist added a very special touch to the service.
Pianist
Jason is an amazing artist. He can sing, he can play the piano, he learns music within minutes by just listening and most of all he has FUN, making the whole experience FUN and AMAZING. I have watched Jason play multiple times and he never ceases to amaze me with his entertaining. Jason recently played the piano at our wedding and he was the talk of the night. He learned to play our first dance song and it is a memory we will have forever! I would recommend Jason 1000x and I am planning our next date night at Makse very soon!

Jason showed up on time had is stuff setup and ready to go before the guest even arrived. The dueling piano act was so much fun, it had even the non-dancers out on the dance floor. My corporate party was a total success...Thank you Jason!
Dueling Pianos
I hired Jason for my wife's birthday party, and the event was amazing thanks to Jason and his partner. They were very easy to work with, super professional, and kept the party going strong all night! They were also able to perform all of our requests, and included a lot more similar songs in the set list once they knew what we were looking for (in addition to taking requests). Cannot recommend Jason more highly, and I am already looking forward to the next time I get to see him play!
Dueling Pianos
We had Jason play our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It was pretty flawless.
Ceremony-
We requested two songs, both of which Jason had to learn. He had no problem and did a great job. He was also spot on with the queues on when to change music.
Cocktail Hour-
This was at the same location and started just a few minutes after ceremony. Jason broke down his ceremony location quickly and was entertaining our guests right away. We trusted Jason to play songs that fit the mood and he did a great job and powered right through the set.
Party Time-
We had Jason and his partner Nathan play their dueling pianos show for 3 hours. They did an amazing job. We had a very small wedding which could have made it hard for a lot of interaction with the group while people were trying to mingle. They really got the crowd going and everyone loved it; we got so many compliments. Later in the evening there was even a freestyle session with one of our guests singing to their pianos.
Jason worked well with us and was gracious through the who planning experience. He gave recommendations, took direction and ran with it when we did not care. Our wedding, from start to finish, would never have turned out as great as it did without his help. Thanks, Jason.

What to Expect
Hello, thank you for considering Jason Marion Entertainment, Modern Dueling Pianos for your next event! Whether you need a laid back soft ambiance, or a rocking dance-floor-never-empty type show, we are here to deliver!
For the dueling show, we bring in two grand piano (shells), keyboards, two players/entertainers, 2 sets of 4x LED lights, all sound equipment including a sub-woofer under the pianos. We have drum patches in the keyboards and with a drum machine available, if you wanted this added to the music at any time during the event. An extra microphone will be available for any announcements, speeches et al that needed to be made over our system (we can also make all announcements, if you prefer).
The solo show is the same set-up, minus half the equipment and a cheaper price.
About
Jason Marion is transplant from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and has been residing in CA since the late 90s. He developed a knack for music at an early age, and taught himself to play the piano, guitar, bass, keyboard, and till date has written over four hundred songs. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University Stanislaus, but discovered that music was his greatest calling and passion. He developed a following in California and has opened up for bands such as Starship (Jefferson Airplane), Gary Wright, Ambrosia, Beatlemania, and The Little River band, to name a few. Jason has been entertaining the crowds at both dueling and solo piano show forums for almost two decades, and his eclectic repertoire, energy, singing and comic timing can't be beat. Currently residing in the Sacramento area, he heads the Dueling piano show at Makse in Vacaville, and travels all over the Bay Area, from Sacramento to San Francisco to Danville, performing dueling piano shows. Performing at Wedding and corporate events (NASCAR, YELP, Skywalker Ranch, San Jose Sharks, dozens of wineries) is his absolute favorite, and he aims to make special occasions memorable for you and your guests.
