Genesis Valentine - Drummer

Genesis played with my cover band for an annual backyard party. She was incredibly friendly, well-prepared, and had incredible drumming chops. Her professional and thoughtful drumming made each of us sound better. She was incredibly responsive to messages, punctual about rehearsals and the show, and very diligent in learning the songs. Hope to be able to play with Genesis again sometime soon!

The first time Genesis auditioned we looked at each other as the band and almost cried. The exact Groove of the songs was so subtle and she captures it. Every time. Her solos are amazing (drum stick throws and everything rolling) and she is the key for any great music. I’m so lucky to know her before she gets super famous and no one we know can afford her! :) Keep your eye on this girl - she’s going the only way she can - straight up.

Thinking of hiring her - do not think. Just do. She’s incredible AND dependable. Always early never missed a practice or a gig for 6 months. Amazing.

I went on tour with Genesis and I have witnessed her shut down many a stages. I have seen her have the worst day imaginable and then hit the stage and redirect that feeling into pure energy. Genesis is such a vibe. Punctual, funny, great listener. Definitely the only drummer I want on my tour! I promise if you hire her...your show will be turnt up a knotch!

Genisis told me early on she’s been drumming for almost 25 years now and it shows. I had the pleasure of touring with her and her solos were always the part of the shows I would look forward to. I played with Genesis during summer 2023 on a national hip hop orchestra tour. Genesis was an amazing band mate, a solid drama free professional and not given to over or under playing, and that's hard to find.

I worked closely with Genesis in numerous rehearsals leading up to the tour... she always showed up well prepared and with a great attitude. That sounds cliché, but was really important for this large scale project. And once we hit the road, all that hard work paid off, Genesis was awesome!
