Drummer Finch

Shawn Finch is a passionate and versatile percussionist born and raised in Southern California.
He began his musical journey at the age of 10, picking up drums and percussion, which quickly
became his artistic outlet and passion. Throughout his middle and high school years, Shawn was
deeply involved in music, playing in jazz band, marching band, and ensemble groups, where he
developed a well-rounded foundation in rhythm, technique, and musical collaboration.
In his late teens to mid-20s, Shawn joined the punk rock band The Disclosed, where he brought
his dynamic drumming style to their energetic sound. After the band's run, he shifted toward a
solo career, embracing the freedom of simply playing music while occasionally jamming with
other musicians.
Today, Shawn is focused on creating his own music and collaborating with other musicians from
across the country. While his primary style is rock and roll, he is always open to exploring new
genres and expanding his musical range based on the needs of each project.
Heavily influenced by drummers such as John Bonham, Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Tim
Alexander, John Dolmayan, and many more, Shawn blends technical precision with an
unrelenting passion for rhythm. His diverse influences allow him to adapt his drumming to a
wide variety of musical styles, ensuring that he can always bring a fresh and engaging energy to
any project he’s part of.
