About
I guess the earliest memory I have of the drums would be the many Christmas mornings laying eyes on the new drum set my brother and I would get....ya know, the ones they used to make with paper heads. Must have been along 4th grade or so when I finally received a real drum. A snare, WITH a case. I remember my big brother walking in and I had the standard “sticks in the air” pose going while I played an Aerosmith tune on it. A neighbor down the street had a whole set and a band. I used to hang out at the basement window while they played. After he first let me play his set, that was it. 1974 I received a blue Ludwig “Vistalite” set which I learned to play using headphones and anything I could get my hands on music-wise. I’ve played pretty constant since. After playing around the Wichita, Kansas area with bands such as Ledfoot, Tryst, Backroads and InSideOut, I moved to the DFW, Texas area in 2003. I've had the pleasure to play with bands such as Levelwise, HIM8NC, Damnasty and Gravity. After taking some time off after a surgery, I started playing around, sitting in with various DFW bands. I recently purchased a Cajon drum, which I’m quickly becoming addicted to, trying to learn various techniques, and getting some experience with some live acoustic style playing. Allways open to the “sit-ins” and jams whether it be on the drum set or the Cajon
