Overview
I am an experienced, educated, enthusiastic, and elastic drummer. I can play in any band as I have done with Cumbia, Salsa, Reggae, Jewish/Klesmer, Rock, Gospel, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz & Blues, and more. Drumset is my primary instrument to play, compose for, and transcribe, but I also play latin percussion. I have been a percussion performer for more than 20 years and have been taught in various musical settings including drumline, drumset, and directing marching bands, for over 10 years. I have a BA from UCLA in Ethnomusicology: Jazz Studies - Performance, highlighting my love for Black American culture, but also ethnologiccally my appreciation and understanding for world cultures.
