Live Jazz for Receptions, Galas & Private Events

From understated background piano to a full, lively quartet, the Dror Perl Ensemble provides high-caliber live music custom-fit to the vibe and scale of your event.

Configurations range from Solo Piano (dinners, cocktail hours) and Duos/Trios with Bass, Sax, or Drums (receptions, corporate parties) to a full Quartet adding Horns or Guitar for larger galas and featured performances.

Repertoire includes timeless Jazz standards, the Great American Songbook, and modern arrangements. Always volume-conscious, polished, dressed for the occasion, and strictly on schedule. Pro digital piano and amp available if needed.

Excellent! Wonderful experience

We had Dror's group playing for us on a number of different occasions. It's always been such a positive experience. Everyone was always very respectful and pleasant and this guys can really play! They sound great and look good. I'd certainly work with them again in the future

About

Dror Perl is a NYC-based pianist, composer, and recording artist with over 20 years of experience performing across the tri-state area. Formally trained at the Rimon School of Jazz and SUNY Empire State College, Dror honed his craft studying directly with legendary Jazz master Dr. Barry Harris.

From intimate cocktail hours to large-scale corporate galas, Dror leads versatile ensembles (Solo to Quartet) recognized for their impeccable timing, sophisticated repertoire, and seamless professionalism. Whether playing timeless standards or contemporary arrangements, he brings a refined, high-caliber aesthetic to every stage and event.

Setup Options & Technical Requirements

1. Venues WITH an On-Site Piano:

Instruments: Tuned acoustic grand or upright piano.

Stage / Space: Minimal space required (approx. 6x6 ft for Solo/Duo; 8x10 ft for Trio/Quartet).

Power: One standard 120V electrical outlet nearby for stage lighting or minimal gear.

2. Venues WITHOUT an On-Site Piano (Fully Self-Contained):

Equipment Provided: Professional high-end 88-key digital stage piano, keyboard stand, and compact, high-quality amplification (suitable PA/amp).

Power Requirement: Access to standard 120V electrical outlet within 15–20 feet of the performance area.

Space Needed: * Solo / Duo: approx. 6x6 ft

Trio / Quartet: approx. 10x8 ft

General Performance Logistics:

Load-In & Setup: We typically arrive 45–60 minutes prior to performance start time to set up and complete soundcheck.

Sound & Volume: Fully self-managed volume control tailored specifically to the acoustics of the room and the event's needs. No separate sound engineer required for standard events.

Staging & Lighting: Standard room/venue lighting is sufficient. No special staging required unless requested by the organizer.

Outdoor Events: Performance area must be completely covered/shaded and protected from direct sunlight, rain, and extreme moisture. Access to flat, level ground and direct power is required.
