Dr. Charles "Randy" Nichols serves as a speaker for a variety of events from Black history to cultural diversity and entrepreneurship among other topics. Dr. Nichols has given presentations to Federal Employed Women, Hopkins County (KY)Historical Society, the Warrick Country (IN) Historical Society, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and many other organizations.
Dr. Nichols holds a dual degree in history and political science and a Ph.D. in business management with a concentration in entrepreneurship. He currently serves as a Professor of Management with Mid-Continent University.

. Charles "Randy" Nichols is a Professor of Management with Mid-Continent University. He had most recently served a Professor of Business Administration with Sullivan University in Louisville, KY. He came to Sullivan as the university’s first online Dean. Dr. Nichols gained his initial administrative experience while at Oakland City University in Indiana where he served three years as the Program Director for the Master of Science in Management Program. He helped develop the "one weekend a month" option to allow for the program to be completed in a year's time. His expertise includes: Cultural Diversity, Entrepreneurship, Online Education and Organizational Behavior and Development.
Dr. Nichols holds a Ph.D. in Business Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the Union Institute (Cincinnati, OH), a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from Kentucky State University. He served nearly seven years as an Army Contract Specialist (buyer) earning both Professional Designation and Certification in Contract Management. He was selected as a delegate to the first annual White House Conference on Small Business (1994) and as a Babson-Kauffman Research Fellow in Doctoral Studies in Entrepreneurship (1994). . He was cited in Essence Magazine (April, 2004) for contributing how to select and take online college courses information to the “Working it” column. He has given national presentations of his research and also has published articles in Confluence Magazine (St. Louis, MO), the African-American Journal (Louisville, KY) and the St. Louis Small Business Monthly. In 2009, he was selected as one of the 26 inaugural faculty with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity’s Leadership Academy.
He holds online instructor certifications from the Walden Institute, Thomas Edison State College, Grand Canyon University, Sullivan University, South University and Franklin University and has completed online instructor training with Baker College (Flint, MI), Franklin University, the University of Phoenix and Walden University.
