Gig length: 60 - 240 minutes

What to expect

I generally take about 20-30 minutes to set up prior to the expected play time. I do a quick mic check and then use my first song to dial in my guitar and vocal mix. I play between 15-20 songs before I take a quick break (sometimes more than 20 songs if the crowd is egging me on. My first hour, I like to play some of my favorites from multiple genres (anything from Jelly Roll to my own version of Simple man) . My second hour gets more into 90’s alternative music, with some opportunity to sing along. If the crowd is open to it, I love to share between three and five originals. I typically bring some percussion if the crowd wants to engage and play along. I will take another quick break before three hours is up. I try to finish with some requests… if people are still wanting to hear me after three hours, I will stay and play a few more if the circumstances are right.

About

My name is Mark Carroll and I started playing guitar and singing when I turned 30. At first, it was to try a new hobby, but it quickly became my obsession. I love playing music and entertaining. There is no better feeling than having a crowd stop what they are doing to come hear me sing. I’ve been gigging now for five years and continue to build on my musical catalog. I still get just as excited to book a new gig as I did on day one and I love meeting new people (and going new places). I believe you will enjoy my wide variety of music. I enjoy every minute of this.

Additional booking notes

I just need an outlet to plug and play. I been in tight spaces and up on larger stages. For the best sound, it’s best to have the party in one room, however, if you let me know, I can set up additional speakers, if the space is separated.
