We have all of your child’s favorite TV and movie characters. Our costume characters are authentic looking and our performers are professional children’s performers. The performers have theatrical backgrounds that help to bring their character to life. They are sensitive to children’s needs and are reliable.

The performers can imitate the way their character talks, laughs and acts. The children will experience their favorite characters, acting as themselves.

The performer will enter your party in costume with a CD player playing the character’s theme song. He or she will greet all of the children, with a special hello for the birthday child. When the theme song ends, the show continues with music for dances (often music from the character’s show) that will be done with all of the children. The Hokey Pokey, the Twist, and the Chicken dance will keep the party hopping, with lots of special attention going to the birthday child. It all ends up with the birthday child leading the birthday parade!

Take all the pictures and videos you like. The children love to go home with a picture of themselves with their favorite costume character.

You can choose from 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or our special one-hour show. In the one hour show the performer first comes in dressed as a clown, equipped to do animal balloons, face painting and water tattoos. The same performer will then return for the second half hour as the character.

Our performers are always professional and reliable. They will always call you by the day before the party to reconfirm.

Magicians
Our magicians do hands-on programs in which everyone becomes part of the show. All are laughing in amazement as milk is carefully poured into a hat, and when it’s showered onto the audience it’s transformed into confetti. A single rubber sponge ball is placed in the birthday child’s hand; he closes hand and when he opens it five or six balls pop out. Then, the balls appear to come out of his ear, form behind his head, and then all disappear.

When our magician uses slight of hand he can make any object disappear and then reappear. Every magic trick he does becomes a funny and entertaining routine in which everyone is laughing and participating.

Many of our magicians bring live animals, such as doves or rabbits. There are animal balloons for everyone and an entertaining juggling show that’s fun for all. We can also provide close up magic for adults.

Dorian James, formerly an artist with The Lincoln Center Institute, has performed in concerts at Guild Hall, Parrish Art Museum, Hecksher Museum, colleges and cultural arts centers for over thirty years. He has played weddings and parties for Craig Claiborne, food critic of the NY Times. Mr. James is the founder and director of The Poulenc Chamber Players, who have received grants from The National Endowment, The New York State Council on the Arts, and The Huntington Arts Council.
For over thirty years he has performed on Flute, Recorder, Oboe, Saxophone, Clarinet, and led ensembles for weddings and special occasions.
