Travel back in time to 1976 and experience the sounds of San Francisco with Doobie Wah. Performing the classic hits Show me the way, Baby I love your way, and the epic Do you feel like we do ? You will never forget that great sensation of youth and freedom. Platform shoes and a disco ball spinning around set the mood.
Doobie Wah - The Peter Frampton Experience is dedicated to performing a reenactment of the 70s best selling live album Frampton Comes Alive.
The band consists of the Carolinas top musicians whose passion for performance and precision is second to none. From the blistering guitar solos and “talk box” techniques , Beatle Buck plays and sings the part of Frampton with stunning accuracy. Hailing from Raleigh NC, he has played in several local bands and has performed with Epic recording artist Nantucket.
Bland Sawyer performs the part of Bob Mayo on keyboards, guitar and vocal. Formally from the band Sidewinder, who were competing on the TV show Starsearch from the 80s, Bland has performed hundreds of shows over the years. Being a musician all of his life, he will capture your ear with pleasant sounds.
Jim Sheppard is the percussionist also from the Raleigh band Sidewinder. His dedication to performance is spot on. Jim delivers the style of John Siomos with uncanny results.
Eli Weed is the bassist for Doobie Wah. Like Beatle, Eli has been in several bands from Columbia to Myrtle Beach SC. He has had the pleasure to open for Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet during his time in the band Southern Blue.
Doobie Wah is looking forward to performing for the fans.
