Don Kline- A Musical Memory Trip

When doing my show at your event, I will be prompt and reliable. I will be playing rock from the late 50's into the 80's and country from hank Williams in the 1950's into the 90's with songs from artists like Toby Keith. I love talking to the audience giving them trivia about the songs and the artists who made the original memories for the listener. I bring many years of musical experience to your event.

I started playing guitar in a band in the 10th grade in 1965. Our band had 6 successful years playing almost every weekend and sometimes a week night during my high school and college years, and we added many weekday dates during the summer months. I paid my way through college with the band. I remember driving from college a hour and a half to State College, Pa. to play a Wednesday night gig at the Rathskellar (a popular hangout for Penn State students). I would play until 2am, then help my bandmembers pack the gear in our van, then leave to go back to college. Many times I had an 8am class that morning. I wonder how I ever did that, LOL. My musical times came to an end as Uncle Sam called me for Viet Nam. I ended up having a military career then a civilian career afterwards. I played occasionally for different bands throughout the years. I joined a band in 2017 who specialized in bringing music memories to the residents of assisted living and nursing homes. Since I loved 50' through 80's rock and also country music I decided to also put together a solo Music memory Trip Show. I have expanded the show and I now perform at parties, festivals, and carnivals in addition to nursing homes shows. I love playing songs that inspires wonderful memories for the folks enjoying my show.

I have all the necessary equipment to bring music to your event. I play guitar and sing all the hits. I use backing tracks as my band as needed to enhance the musical experience. A 10 x 10 space is required for my set-up. A stage would be nice for a festival or carnival. Since most festivals and carnivals are outside a tent to cover my space or stage is recommended. For parties and nursing facilities the 10 x 10 space will suffice.
