February 22, 2019Don Alexander is an Excellent performer and I highly recommend him. Everyone I know enjoys his shows. He knows every song and plays without music, which is Awesome! Don sings, plays the keyboard, harmonica and saxophone. He even plays several instruments at the same time!! I would not hesitate to have him play for me anytime. A wonderful musician & what a great personality.

February 12, 2019Don played and sang for a party we hosted. He is the ultimate piano man, often playing the sax at the same time. He was a true professional, taking requests and entertaining our guests with their favorite songs. We look forward to hearing Don play and sing whenever he is in town.

My act consists of me performing on a piano and singing, while playing pedal bass. I know all the usual piano bar requests and hundreds more. I dress for the occasion and am comfortable with and talk freely to the audience about the songs. I am flexible and am good at adjusting my repertoire to the audience and the needs of the planners. I am fine with people dancing, or just listening.
I have a sax to my left which I use as well on many songs while still playing the piano. This will be hard for the audience to believe until they see me do it (check my videos). I will play a grand piano if a suitable one is provided, or perform on a portable piano. I also use a rhythm machine if it is appropriate to the event.
Your audience will see a seasoned professional performing and entertaining just for them.
Don Alexander is a Louisiana born-and-raised singer/songwriter artist, multi-instrumentalist and entertainer. He performs primarily on keyboards and sax, often playing them simultaneously. He sings strong lead and harmony, and arranges vocal and instrumental parts.
Don has toured extensively in the US. He has also performed at Caesar’s Palace, the Tropicana, Bally’s, and the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas, and has been involved in numerous recording projects including the production for several albums.
Recently he has entertained for Holland America, Norwegian Cruise lines and Royal Caribbean.
Don and his wife presently reside in Florida.
I will need a safe, dry place to set up and in most cases some sort of covered area if not indoors. I will need access to a 120 volt outlet that is properly fused and grounded. If at night and outdoors, there should be some type of stage lighting. I will want to know a few details about the venue to know how much equipment to bring, and what equipment you have, if any, that is normally used for your events.

I know well over two thousand songs of many genres including pop, oldies, rock & roll, country, light jazz, R & B, blues, New Orleans piano, and trop rock, and feature artists such as Jimmy Buffett, Neil Diamond, Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Elton John, Beatles, and many more. I will present a more detailed song listing soon.
The Beatles, Beethoven, Chuck Berry, Otis Redding, Johnny Winter, Canned Heat, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Buffett, all of the great vocal groups (including Beach Boys, the Four Seasons, The Mammas and the Papas), the great soul groups of the 60's and 70's, Streisand, Sinatra, Mariah Carey, Kenny Loggins, Kenny Rankin, and certainly the New Orleans piano greats such as Dr John, Huey Piano Smith, Fats Domino and Professor Longhair.
I have my own equipment, but will consult with you about any additional requirements as dictated by the venue.
