D'Mac Just me and My Guitar

Here is an example of what people say when they hear me perform! Many more just like this one! This individual was so touch and inspired, she wrote a letter to Mayor Reed on my behalf!

Dear Mayor Reed:

About 3 - 4 weeks ago, I was flying out of Atlanta headed back home to New Orleans when I heard some really pleasant and great "guitaring" coming from the concourse above as I rode up the escalator from the tram. When I got to the top to follow the music, I saw a few travelers stopping. Hidden behind a column was a great guitarist for whom these travelers destined for whatever destination, stopped to listen to his music. Being a music enthusiast, I couldn't help but stop and listen myself. The gentleman guitarist was so prolific in different genres of music that he was able to take requests for all types of music requests. (That in and of itself is monumental and takes great talent). I watched for a while and in doing so, watched people headed to their gate actually come back to stand and listen until they had to leave. What a pleasant surprise. This young many was truly talented and more than that he had a personality and a smile that welcomed and affected the folks that passed.

As it was getting close to my leaving time, I asked for one of his cards particularly to write and thank you and the City of Atlanta for having the great taste of sharing your City's treasured talent with those of us fortunate to have passed at the right time at the right location in your beautiful, massive airport.

This young man, Dwayne McMillan or D'Mac, is a treasure to your City. I can't wait to come back through the airport just to see if I am lucky enough get the chance to hear and watch him play again.

From his roots in Brooklyn, NY to his childhood memories in Teaneck, NJ, Dwayne's musical interests moved beyond the quartet group to the soulful sounds of church music, so at the age of seven, it was the high pitched sounds of the guitar that convinced him of a music career.

As Dwayne grew into adolescence and young adulthood, he began to perfect his talent with guitar lessons and gained support from his biggest fans, his mother & father. His first Gibson GS guitar came as a gift from his father, the same one used in his father's quartet group.

As an Atlanta resident, Dwayne continues to perform throughout the south east region. He served as the lead guitarist at Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral for nine years with Bishop Dale C. Bronner, served as guitarist with Bishop T.D. Jakes, currently works with multiple Churches to provide ministry and support for those in our community who are struggling with hurts, habits or hang-ups and are ready to work their way through a process of recovery with others and with God, owns a local production company called D&B Productions and RaDaQuin Music Group, LLC, and has established a very successful CD project called Higher Ground featuring celebration.

I have my own PA but many times the PA is already in place.
