Amazing entertainment

We had the best experience with Dj Southland not only did he bring all the best equipment, but he was personable and really got the party guests enjoying their time. He made sure to cover all of the age groups and different genres to please all of the guess and we almost couldn’t even get them off the dance floor for the other party activities:-) they even had a portable microphone set that without even asking he brought over to me because he knew my voice wasn’t big enough for the announcements. I needed to make they didn’t amazing job. I highly highly recommend them though for sure be at my next party I’ve already had people requesting them .

With 20 years of DJ experience, DJ SouthLAnd creates customized musical experiences for corporate events, community celebrations, weddings and private parties. His style is versatile, polished and crowd-focused. Reading the room and moving naturally between generations and genres.

DJ SouthLAnd has provided entertainment for organizations and events connected with the American Heart Association,
Make-A-Wish Foundation, CicLAvia, East Side Riders Bicycle Club and other Southern California organizations and communities.

Every event is customized. Music can include R&B, soul, funk, hip hop, pop, disco, house, Latin favorites, EDM, old-school classics and current hits. Client playlists and special requests are an option, and guests can conveniently make requests during the event form there phone with are request app services.

Influences and inspiration

R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop, House, Pop, Latin, Reggae, and Gospel, provided the soundtrack for his upbringing. However, his taste of music was mostly influenced by his parents and grandparents' love of soul/funk music and his aunt’s & uncles who were into 80’s & 90’s music. He loves blending the old school with the new and creates a dynamic, feel-good vibe for music love.

Setup requirements

A safe, level performance area with access to reliable power is preferred. Setup requirements vary by event size and location. We arrive early to allow time for professional setup and sound check.
