DJ King Genius

I provide a sound catered to the needs and desires of the client. From parties, wedding receptions, private gatherings, and corporate functions, I work together with clients to bring the vision for their event to life.

DJ King GNS (pronounced “King Genius”)

With a rich background in music & dance, King GNS specializes in blending multiple styles of music with fluidity.

His past clients include Red Bull, AT&T, the Chicago Black Hawks, and various residencies in the APAC region awaiting his return.

King GNS got his start as a DJ in 2007. Through traditional apprenticeship, he learned solid scratch technique and crafted his personal style of creative selection. Later, he began spinning private parties and local bars and clubs.

Playing for diverse crowds and having an extensive background in music theory, instruments, and vocals, King G.N.S specializes in blending multiple styles of music with fluidity. 16 years as a DJ, supported by many more years as both a professional dancer and musician, has built G.N.S. into an eclectic and seasoned performer.

Whether keeping the dance floor bouncing or providing acoustic ambiance for socializing in intimate or business settings, King G.N.S can comfortably mix any number of genres ranging from house, soul, funk, RnB, Hip Hop and disco to salsa, jazz, reggae and breaks. His repertoire includes international parties, private functions, fundraiser/charity events, community-organized events, and dance competitions all over the United States, Japan, Panama, Philippines, Hong Kong and Macau.

King is currently based in Chicago with residencies throughout the APAC region awaiting his return.

Following the motto "Genius Never Sleeps," he mixes music while ears enjoy, lips sip, hips dip, & feet beat.
