I’m a creative DJ that brings a collection of over 2K records - many of which are lesser-known but still familiar. I can bridge across many genres - disco, rock, hip hop, pop, funk, synth, techno, and more - but all grounded in a foundation of house and deep house. Gig length: 30 - 420 minutes
Infectious rhythms, soulful vocals, spoken word samples, live remixes of familiar tracks. I love to create dramatic, building transitions that slowly incorporate new elements of each track - adding effects to increase the intensity and heighten suspense before dropping a ripping baseline. I especially love long mixes - sometimes just letting two tracks run in parallel for long periods creates the most beautiful results.
I’ve had a passion for music since my early childhood. Trained in piano (classical, jazz) as well as choir - choir is ultimately what drove me to love house music and DJ’ing as I love hearing different sounds build and layer. I’ve been a collector of music as well throughout my life - biggest early inspirations are Michael Jackson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, and Depeche Mode. I try to bring in a mix of all genres into my sets - nothing is off limits. That said, I don’t really do top 40 / purely pop, mainstream EDM, or solely hip hop, Latin, or afrohouse (though I do mix those genres in!)
I don’t supply the sound systems, microphones, lighting, etc. I do, however, have my own decks to bring or can work with pre-supplied decks
