Hakeem "Chef Hakeem" Hooker, founder of DinnerClub is the premiere hospitality service specifically tailored to each client. We notice that the hospitality industry, both the travel industry, as well as culinary services are trending more towards ideal personal experiences as opposed to an "one size fits all" package style. Each client is an individual with their own ideas of an event, dinner, vacation package etc.; DinnerClub feels that each client should be treated as such. It is the vision of founder Hakeem Hooker for DinnerClub to follow the trends of the industry.
Hakeem started his education in culinary arts through a trade school. Finishing first in his class, that's when he knew his passion was culinary arts. Hooker continued his education by obtaining a B.S. in Hospitality Management with a minor in marketing. Upon graduation, Hakeem worked in the corporate world as a food service director, and executive chef for several companies. There is where he was able to hone his skills and cultivate his management style.
But learning didn't stop there, while managing accounts of upwards of 2 million dollars, Hakeem also kept his eye on the trends of the industry. People and smaller companies require a few differences in culinary services that has never been seen before. First, a health surge is upon us. Secondly, people like the opportunity to tailor make their own product (thus the birth of the Build Your Own BYO model), Lastly, people lives are becoming busier, which means less time for food. These are trends that he noticed could take advantage of. So he began to craft a business that focuses on those three trends while managing his life in the corporate world. Eventually after the business was created, he decided to go all in and quit his job.
Hakeem is an outgoing, passionate, person who loves to pay attention to details and believes in living a karmatically clean lifestyle. That belief in turns is echoed in the way his company does business.
