Dillinger's Hired Guns is an instrumental smooth jazz/funk/fusion group that plays a variety of songs which can be tailored to the size and needs of any event. The focus is on creating atmosphere. The music is dynamic and expressive without being loud. Guests are able to enjoy the music while still being able to hold a conversation. The musicians are top notch players who are always professional and courteous.
The core of the group is a trio consisting of guitar, bass, and drums. Horns, keys, and vocals can be added if desired. Solo guitar is also available for smaller events.
Dillinger's Hired Guns are exceptional musicians, extremely professional and accommodating. They're my first choice jazz trio to add a classy, upbeat sound to any event.

Dillinger's Hired Guns has played many events in the SF Bay Area including community events for the Corte Madera Beautification Committee, SF art events for Joan Davis, and jazz dinners at T-Rex BBQ in Berkeley.
The leader of Dillinger's Hired Guns is Blaine Dillinger. He is a guitarist with a jazz performance degree from The Ohio State University. He has studied under several world class musicians including Calvin "Fuzzy" Samuels and Tim Cummiskey. He has performed all over the Midwest and East Coast with groups including rock, reggae, hiphop, and funk bands to jazz big bands, acoustic duos, marching bands, and orchestras. Blaine is currently teaching private lessons at Studio G in Napa, CA and through Skype with Piano Lessons in Your Home. In addition to DHG Blaine currently plays with chart topping Pacific Reggae artist Clear Conscience.
Thomas Ivey Jr. is the low end of Dillinger's Hired Guns. Thomas studied music at Ohlone College and Alameda College under the direction of Prof. Herbert Mims, Jr. Thomas’ has 20 yrs of playing many styles such as R&B, Neo-Soul, Funk, Blues, Soul, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Reggae, Rock, Latin Jazz, Top 40, Salsa, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, Zydeco, Gospel, Alternative, Metal and more.
Josh Badura sets the grooves for Dillinger's Hired Guns and always keeps it funky. His metronomic timing comes from his background in the Detroit metal scene where he toured with several big name acts. Josh is currently studying jazz with world renowned drum virtuoso Tommy Igoe. In addition to DHG Josh currently plays with chart topping Pacific Reggae artist Clear Conscience.
Dillinger's Hired Guns booking includes the musicians and light amplification. Additional event needs such as stages, lights, large P.A. must be taken care of by the event coordinator or discussed prior to the booking.
