Diamond Longs

I have two services:

1. Acoustic service with only Diamond Longs and a guitar. This is more intimate and stripped down. I would play cover songs and original songs.

2. Band service with a drummer and guitar player. More groove, more loud, and more upbeat.

Diamond Longs is a singer/songwriter on her rise to fame. Her soft but powerful tone sends shivers down the spine with lyrics to match the weight of the music. That’s been true ever since her 2020 heartbreaking debut, Healing Tapes, which is Longs’ first-ever EP. Moreover, with her soulful alto melodies and passionate yet heartfelt ways of performing, the Los Angeles native began performing gigs at just fifteen years old. Throughout the years, her experiences have not only caused her to obtain wisdom and knowledge but an inspiration to write new lyrics and a healthier way to release feelings.

Healing Tapes took place in the Fall of 2020 during quarantine. Longs never learned how to produce or record professionally, the raw and fresh sound on each track exemplifies the true emotion behind each lyric and melody. The concept album covers the haunting pain of painful relationships, the advice from each of her parents, and the process of letting go of the one she loved. “I write music because it’s a personal outlet,” Diamond says. “I like to think that the words I sing are a way for me to relate to people from a distance, to validate and give hope to those who need it.”

The unfortunate events of family health issues and deep reflection time during quarantine motivated Longs to keep making music and sharing her emotions through songs. Other experiences such as past relationships inspired her lighthearted, girl-powered throwback “It’s Not Me, Its You” — produced by Longs’, was written in her bedroom after the song idea came to her while humming.

Exposing herself to the limelight, Longs began to write a plethora of songs due to her TikoTok series “If I Had A Verse On…”. Diamond takes a popular song and adds her own touch of magic to the second verse, creating a versatile and captivating new sound to the original song. “I noticed there was a small trend of people creating their own verses. One day I thought, “this can help me in my writing skills and develop melodies”. I created my first “verse-switch” TikTok and covered the song “Location” by Khalid. Soon enough, a lot of my videos were gaining traction and I began gaining support for the lyrics I was writing and the passion behind each note I sang”.

Meanwhile, Diamond has continued a busy schedule as she recently quit her full-time office job to pursue a career in full-time music in early December 2022. Throughout 2020 to 2022, Diamond has released multiple songs about love, healing, self-care, and even a song completely in Spanish! In the fall of 2022, Longs’ TikToks became noticeable to many entertainment networks and she was picked up by the Kelly Clarkson Show to sing with Kelly, which aired in September 2022! Diamond continues to gain opportunities to grow in her craft and is looking forward to more blessings in the future.

Soulful and storytelling, her first full album “Emotional Hiatus” is due to be released in the Spring of 2023.
