Derek the Mime

Derek was absolutely wonderful! He made my father's birthday party truly unforgettable. He engaged with everyone—babies, kids, adults, and seniors—and had the whole crowd smiling and laughing. His performance was funny, heartfelt, and full of charm.

He was right on time, followed every direction with care, and stayed in great communication before and during the event. He was also incredibly flexible and easy to work with. You can really see the passion he brings to his craft.

I would highly recommend Derek for parties of all ages, and especially for mixed-language crowds—his performance crosses all language barriers and brings people together through joy and laughter. We're so grateful to have had him at our celebration!

I hired Derek to perform as a Mime at our community on February 26, 2019 for "A Day in Paris" Themed event. Derek the Mime has to be one of the best performers I have ever worked with! He was hilarious, engaging, courteous and endearingly helpful. During lunch time, Derek entertained my resident's in the dining room with his creative and comedic act. My resident's and staff said they have never seen/heard so much laughter in the dining room before. Not only did Derek make them laugh, but he showed great care and compassion for them. He went above and beyond entertaining by assisting one of my resident's who asked for more water... without hesitation Derek grabbed the closest pitcher of water and poured it for the resident... I was sincerely touched by this act of kindness and professionalism and I know the resident was too. Derek also provided preshow entertainment to our residents as we had a musical production about to start. Derek was able to keep the audience engaged and laughing while he assisted our chef with handing out treats. I highly recommend Derek the Mime as a performer and one amazing human being to anyone looking for the BEST entertainer out there! Derek, thank you so much for bringing so much joy and kindness to our resident's and we look forward to seeing you in the future!

I have had the pleasure of working with Derek the Mime in two ocassions and I can just say he is the best! I was very lucky to come across his Gigsalad ad last December 2015 when I was looking for a mime for our corporate Holiday celebration. He responded to my booking request very quickly and provided all the information I needed, from the begining he was very professional. We had many entertainers at our celebration, but I can definately say Derek the Mime was everyone's favorite. He found the way to make everyone laugh and went the extra mile to make our celebration fun and unique. When the time came to plan our 2016 holiday celebration without a doubt I contacted Derek again, it was no surprise to see that again, everyone loved him. Derek not only greeted our guests and got many laughs out, but he also participated in our awards ceremony, raffle, dinner, and party! He sure goes out of his way to make sure everyone enjoys every moment of the celebration. Thank you Derek, looking forward to having you again at the end of the year!

Derek went above and beyond expectations. Completely professional, super friendly, and most importantly - 100% HILARIOUS. The kids were obsessed to the point where one child who was there told his parents that night: "I want that mime to live in our house." It's a week later and my son is still recreating Derek's "elevator sequence." Derek wasn't just great - he was an inspiration!

SO STOP SEARCHING. YOU'VE FOUND YOUR BIRTHDAY ENTERTAINMENT!

Great job
