Derek Lewis is a NYC based pianist and composer originally from Buffalo New York. Since moving to New York in 2021 to attend the prestigious New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Derek has performed at established NYC venues such as Smalls, Zinc, and Cloakroom Harlem, as well as at the 2022 Bern Jazz Festival in Switzerland. In addition to leading his own bands, he has played with Philip Harper, Sabu Adeyola, and Khalil Kwame Bell
