Overview

My name is Derek Bridges, I play the acoustic guitar, classical guitar, harmonica, piano, flute and sing. All of these instruments are present at my gig, and I play them at the same time with a looper. You’ll hear a variety of genres, including blues, country, classical, show-tunes, theme songs, oldies, Bluegrass, jazz, Gaelic, reggae, rock, classic rock, holiday songs, world music, flamenco, modern mainstream music. I will take a few requests beforehand if needed and we can discuss that if it’s doable. I bring all my own equipment to the gig. Go to (link hidden) for all of my music. What to expect

Depending on the request of the individual(s) booking, you would see several things

Classical piano music played on a keyboard, mostly Frederic Chopin pieces.
Classical guitar Segovia, Bach, Ave Maria and Mozart.
All types of blues including slide guitar blues on the acoustic along with harmonica and keys
Doo-Wop, Jazz and Oldies tunes like Louis Armstrong along with vocal impressions that are identical to the sound of Louis Armstrong as well as other artists such as the Ink Spots, Dr John, Tom Waits, Elvis, The Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams and many more
Gaelic Music Irish and Scottish sung in the accent of Irish and Scottish Original Tunes, played with guitar and looper pedal along with leads on the flute and fiddle. I wear my personal kilt and attire for these special occasions if its many Gaelic tunes.
World music such as Sukkos from Africa as well as calypso music and reggae all played on guitar with the looper, flute, and Djembe drum.
French music played on acoustic guitar along with piano leads and harmonica leads
Ragtime tunes, Show-tunes, and Theme songs mostly played on keyboard and some on guitar
Disney songs and tunes for the little ones usually played on acoustic guitar and ukulele along with harmonica and piano leads.
Classic rock tunes such as tom petty, the band, the eagles, Rolling Stones, Beatles, much much more played with every instrument and rhythm and leads
Folk songs, Appalachian music and bluegrass finger picking style on acoustic guitar. tunes from bob Dylan, kassoy sisters, Carter family, Ralph Stanely, Doc Watson, Greg Brown, Richard Shindell and many more.

Additional booking notes

I bring all of my own equipment and sound. Protection from the weather elements if performing outside. I do bring my own 10x10 canopy in case but more proper cover would be needed by you if it rains and it’s outdoor. The outlets should be inspected and working before gig. There should be lighting near but if that is no doable please let me know. Stage area should have ample room, at least 10 feet perimeter. Let me know if this is something you can’t provide.
