Denise Choate & The Not Just Jazz Band bring a sound that spans from Ella Fitzgerald to Sade — smooth jazz, sultry R&B, feel-good funk, and high-energy blues, plus Latin classics like "Besame Mucho" and "Oye Como Va," to private parties, receptions, and corporate events throughout the region. The band itself came together three years ago, but our musicians bring an average of 30 years of live performing experience to the stage — the kind of chemistry and professionalism that only comes from decades of doing this for a living. We play roughly 50 shows a year, from The Ritz-Carlton to wineries and country clubs throughout the Central Valley and Motherlode, plus regular appearances at Modesto favorites like 10th Street Plaza and Intermission.
