September 6, 2011Deirdre sang with our band for a large fundraiser in Westport, CT. She was professional, prepared at rehearsals, open to what we wanted/needed and contributed her own good ideas as well. On top of all of that she looked and sang beautifully. I cannot recommend her more highly.

As a long time resident of New York City, she was born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and a great deal of her life has been devoted to music and her aspirations to succeed as a performer. She credits the beginning of her musical development to her family. Deirdre was born into gospel music, cut her teeth on the smooth sounds of Motown, and real soul singers like Chaka and Gladys, Stevie & Donny. She came of age with Prince and other eclectic mixes of music like the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Heart and Pat Benetar. There was no doubt that Deirdre, having been raised around all this music, would turn out to be an artistic spirit. She smothered herself in anything that had to do with music. She credits her further development to an array of brilliant teachers at the famed LaGuardia School of Music & Art where she began her study of classical, gospel music and musical theatre. “…This school forever changed my life…”
