Born and raised in an obscure town in South Africa, New York City–based magician Jack Phillips has devoted his life to the study of the impossible. He began by sharing his performances at private gatherings and theatres in South Africa. He later moved to New York City to study philosophy at NYU and performed at some of the city’s most prestigious venues before graduating college. During that time, he became a cast member of Speakeasy Magick (TimeOut NY’s #1 Magic Show in NYC), a role he continues to hold today. Jack now shares his world-class performances at shows and private events around the globe, including a recent engagement performing during the Monaco Grand Prix at exclusive clubs and yachts across the principality.

What Jack performs is not mere sleight of hand or trickery, but rather a poetry of the impossible—a dance of the improbable. His props are ordinary: playing cards, thoughts, a coin, a string, a blade. His true medium, however, is reality itself. When not developing his stage show, Jack is available for corporate events and private gatherings of all kinds.
