I've helped administer a four-day international Celtic Music Festival over a number of years. We are a major event in a remote community, which means that quality sound support is not a quick phone call away. Dana Burgess has consistently answered our call over the years, whether it was a part of a sound team, or leading the team. He has worked and supported us in smaller venues as well as in our major concerts, and has always provided us with the quality we required. He has also been very fair in the fees he charges. I happily recommend him.

We hired Dana to work at FoCoMX 2023. He was a great asset to the festival, both with his full PA one day and jumping in last minute on another company's gear to fill in for a sick engineer the other day. He's a hard worker, knowledgeable, attentive, and nice to work with, plus has great chops with wrangling acoustic instruments.

Dana is a very good and experienced soundman. Perhaps just as important, he is very easy to work with and works very well with the band. Too many sound engineers have a “my way, or the highway” attitude. That is not Dana’s approach at all.
He is also a good drummer so he knows what the music should sound like, which is important.
