I serve as both a solo entertainer and an educator. As an entertainer I provide music at events ranging from house parties, to graduation ceremonies, church services, funerals, weddings etc. Dbass is a much less invasive experience than a full band yet still an effective way of adding meaningful music to entertain guests at your milestone event. As an educator I focus on a comprehensive knowledge of musicianship, including theory, equipment, repertoire, soloing, grooving, gig etiquette etc.
Dave was professional and came well prepared - he worked immediately within the team and did an excellent job from start to finish.

I'm a very spirited player, many say I make the most awesome and entertaining faces while I play. Usually the feedback I get is that I'm so in my zone and they love to see that. For me performance is the fun part so I should physically and facially express whatever the emotion of the song is to be in character. So expect someone who is outgoing on stage and not afraid of the spotlight. At the same time I come from a very strict professional and team work oriented roots where choreography, singing and dancing were enforced and reinforced. You can expect a proficient level of performance and professionalism both on and off stage.
BIO:
Teaching experience: 8yrs of experience including 2yrs tutoring at Five Towns College, 6yrs private music instruction at Pushing the Limit Lessons, 1yr at Boden Center for Performing Arts and 2yrs co director of the music program and music teacher at Upper Room Christian School.
Recording experience: 14yrs of experience including Alicia Keys' "Karma" remix, Derrick Davis' "Life Music" album, Lyfe Jennings "Live at House of Blues in LA", 5 yrs recording at Get Open Studios and 2 yrs recording at The Oven Studios (including sessions with guitarists D'wyane Wiggins and the legendary Wah Watson).
Performance experience: My 19 yrs of experience began at a young age playing in school and church. I switched from percussion and drums to bass in the school band and youth minstry that both performed (worshipped) weekly. I went on to obtain an associates degree in performance and a bachelor degree in composition at Five Towns College while in my first original band Focus. It was an R&B group, where the name Dbass was coined, that had management that joined us with Jermaine Paul, who was signed to Shaquille O’neal. We’ve played great NYC venues and played for or opened tours for Alicia Keys, Lyfe Jennings, John Legend, Chrisette Michele, Silk G, Jaguar Wright and on occasion we still perform. While in college and Focus I played in a Jazz band for private events as well as other artists looking for a bassist. After college I went on to play in a rock/hip hop band called The Senate that was based out of a studio in Ronkonkoma, NY and ran by our rapper and singer Michael Coppola. I also joined a cover band called Radio Riot that works for a booking agency. Most recently I joined Pedestrian Knock Down, a band which has an alternative rock/ fusion inspiration.
