It was an hour long rollercoaster of emotions just short of me crying in fetal position trying to figure out how and why David is able to summon magical demons that help him place cards in places where no cards should ever be.

Hi, my name is David Shao. I am a magician member at the Academy of Magical Arts, aka the Magic Castle, and I have been a member there since 2022. I majored in Drama at UC Irvine, and performed at TEDx there. My magic involves a lot of character work that I developed over the years, blending seamlessly with comedy to create a highly engaging and entertaining experience. It’s a unique approach that captivates audiences through humor and personality, setting my performances apart without relying on traditional storytelling. I would describe my performance as dry and dead-pan, that is both captivating and deeply engaging. If you have seen my performance, you will know that my style is very unique.
