David “Sax” Obioma is a London, Ontario–based DJ, saxophonist, and music professional, as well as a graduate of Trebas Institute. With a diverse background in performance and music education, he is the founder of African Caribbean Mosaic, a cultural initiative dedicated to celebrating and promoting African and Caribbean music and arts in the community.

David’s musical journey spans multiple roles—he is a skilled piano teacher, a passionate praise and worship leader, and a songwriter whose work reflects his rich cultural roots and personal experiences. As a performer, he blends Afrobeats, gospel, amapiano, dancehall, and contemporary sounds to create engaging, high-energy sets that connect with audiences of all backgrounds.

Sound Requirements:

For small events: David can provide a complete sound system upon request
For medium to large events: Professional PA system with adequate coverage is required
Minimum setup: 2 speakers, mixer/controller table, and reliable power supply
At least 1 wireless or wired microphone (if announcements or hosting are needed)

Technical Needs:

Stable power source within close proximity to performance area
Covered or shaded area for outdoor events (to protect equipment)
Table/booth space for DJ controller and laptop
Access to venue at least 60–90 minutes before performance for setup and sound check

Lighting (Optional but Recommended):

Basic stage or dance floor lighting enhances the overall experience
For larger events, coordinated lighting with the music is recommended

Stage & Space:

Minimum 6x4 ft space for DJ setup
