Overview

David is a singer/songwriter who loves to bless people with music that moves and inspires them. As an experienced guitarist, he uses a loop pedal to achieve the sound of two players, so that even without a full band you'll still hear that guitar solo that makes the song great. David mixes in his own originals with a variety of cover music from a wide range of genres to create the vibe you are looking for; everything from classic-rock to alternative 90's rock to alt-country/folk/Americana. He knows how to connect with an audience to give them an experience beyond just entertainment. David is available for special events, house concerts, music venues, weddings, and festivals.

Gig length: 60 - 180 minutes

What to expect

David uses an acoustic guitar and loop pedal that allows him to record live rhythm guitar parts and then "loop" them in order to play other guitar parts/solos that would otherwise require a 2nd guitarist. In other words, you'll get the sound of two guitarists from one. David is experienced at connecting with audiences through storytelling, inspirational words, and music that hits the heart. He is flexible and can tailor the setlist to create the mood and vibe you are looking for.

About

David Raybuck is a native Texan in Cleburne who draws from a deep well of musical influences to fuse alternative rock, folk, country and grunge styles into something unique. He is a husband, father of seven children, pastor of a local church, and professional computer nerd. In the limited amount of time these roles have spared him, he has continued to write music over the years. David used to pursue dreams of rock stardom for his own selfish glory, denying the existence of Jesus and living in brokenness. But because of God’s grace, he now writes music to serve and glorify God, with the hope that it will reach other music fans with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.

David grew up listening to amazing artists like Radiohead, The Beatles, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Ween, Led Zeppelin, Elliot Smith, Supergrass, Air, Failure and many others. You’ll hear these influences in his songs, and his prayer is that his music will appeal to people with similar tastes and to people who may not yet know Christ, but who know good music when they hear it. David is on a mission of helping people encounter Jesus through music, and he is just one of many who have been blessed with the privilege of serving God in this way.

Additional booking notes

David has his own sound and lighting gear for small to medium venues, and can connect with house speaker/sound systems via XLR or 1/4" cable. He can set up in a small area (at least 6'x6') with access to power (with extension cord if required) that can accommodate two speakers (Behringer Eurolive 12" powered speakers), a chair, mic stand, and small guitar amp.
