About
Raised in St. Louis, David began performing professionally in local concert halls and clubs as a pianist and percussionist at age 15. Relocating to Los Angeles he graduated from USC Thornton School, after studies with Alan Pasqua, Shelly Berg, Jon Clayton and Russel Ferrante and has gone on to tour nationally and internationally performing jazz, blues, country, broadway and popular repertoire.
Primarily I work as a cocktail pianist, or with a jazz trio. We perform standard jazz repertoire and thoughtful improvisation as well as some more modern standards if desired. The music can be the center of attention, or more usually, provide a lively atmosphere at a moderate volume so that guests can enjoy the music and still mingle.
