Big laughs from real-life stories — especially about family, step-parenting, military life, and growing up in the South

Engaging impersonations — from grandmas to coworkers to church folk, & celebrities... I bring characters to life on stage

Clean, feel-good comedy that never punches down or makes people uncomfortable

Moments of connection — I talk to the audience, not at them

A show you’ll remember — and want to bring your family to next time

If You’re the Client, You’ll Get:
A professional, experienced performer who’s been working stages since 2016

Someone who is punctual, easy to work with, and flexible to your event’s needs

A polished set that’s tailored to your audience — whether it’s faith-based, family-friendly, or comedy club-ready

No surprises: You’ll know exactly what type of content I’ll deliver, and I’m happy to adjust based on your preferences

Tech-savvy support if needed — I also offer media production, livestreaming, and can even bring quality sound/video gear if required

From churches and schools to nightclubs and reunions, I’ve performed for all types of crowds and I know how to keep people laughing while keeping it clean and classy. If you want someone who brings both heart and humor — I’m your guy.

Let me know the room. I’ll bring the funny.

About

My name is David Catash Morch, but most people know me on stage as Catash — a clean comedian, Christian rapper, actor, and U.S. Army veteran who brings high-energy storytelling, impersonations, and relatable humor to stages across the country.

I’ve been performing stand-up since 2016, and my material draws from a life that’s anything but average. I’ve been a part of five different families (yep, FIVE — it’s a long story), crossing cultural, racial, and generational lines. That blended family chaos, Southern upbringing, and military discipline all come together in a style that’s animated, honest, and always funny.

WHAT I DO
I specialize in clean, crowd-friendly comedy that hits home with diverse audiences — from church folks to cruise ship crowds to comedy club regulars. My act is full of hilarious, heartfelt stories about step-parenting, growing up country, and finding your way when life keeps remixing your plans. And yes — my impersonations are wild enough to make your auntie fall out her seat.

As a performer, I don’t just tell jokes. I connect. Whether I’m headlining a club, opening for national acts, or emceeing an event, I aim to leave the audience uplifted and laughing with something real to remember.

CREDITS
Since starting comedy in 2016, I’ve performed at:

*The Laugh Factory – Los Angeles, CA

*Funny Bone Comedy Clubs – Virginia Beach & Richmond, VA

*Push Comedy Theater – Norfolk, VA

*Uptown Comedy Corner – Atlanta, GA

*Atlanta Comedy Theater – Atlanta, GA

*Plus churches, schools, festivals, family reunions, and stages across the South

I’ve hosted, featured multiple times and headlined select events, known for my ability to read the room and bring laughs without crossing the line.

MORE THAN COMEDY
In addition to comedy, I’m part of Armageddon Entertainment, a Christian hip-hop group that fuses gospel truth with hard-hitting lyricism and performance. We’ve released international music, including in Nigeria, and we bring ministry with a message — from the streets to the stage.

I’m also the owner of EJW Media, where I provide professional videography, livestreaming, and editing services for weddings, concerts, corporate events, and more. My background in media helps me bring a polished, production-minded approach to every performance I do.

STYLE & APPROACH
Clean but not corny

Southern but universal

Faith-based but funny first

Smart, heartfelt, and highly physical

My comedy style mixes Kevin Hart energy, Sinbad-style storytelling, and a touch of Tyler Perry-level family drama (without the wig).

If you’ve got a crowd that’s ready to laugh — but you want to keep it family-friendly or faith-forward — I’m your guy. Perfect for:

Church Events

Family Reunions

Comedy Clubs

Corporate Functions

Colleges

Nonprofit Galas

Festivals

Cruise Ships

Clean Night Comedy Series

A FEW FUN FACTS:
I’m originally from Southampton County, Virginia

I’m possibly related to Nat Turner (yes, that Nat Turner)

I’m a proud stepdad and speak openly (and hilariously) about blended families

I’m passionate about Black history and spiritual empowerment — and I blend that into my art

My comedy anniversary is April 28, 2016

Final Thought:
I bring laughs that come from life, not just punchlines. If you need someone who’s funny, professional, spiritually grounded, and able to rock a mic in any room — let’s talk. God bless, and watch out for those impersonations!

Influences and inspiration

Comedy Influences – David “Catash” Morch
My comedy style is rooted in the legacy of legends — artists who blended storytelling, character work, and stage presence to not only get laughs but move people.

Redd Foxx taught me the power of saying what everyone’s thinking — unfiltered, bold, and unforgettable.

Martin Lawrence showed me how to turn everyday madness into comedy gold with high energy, physical comedy, and relatable chaos.

Tommy Davidson influenced my animated delivery and voice work — his range and stage presence encouraged me to let go and go big.

Sinbad proved that clean comedy can still hit hard and be just as funny, if not funnier, than anything else in the room.

Bill Cosby (speaking strictly from a technical standpoint) helped shape my rhythm and storytelling — how to set up a joke so well, the punchline feels like a memory.

Michael Colyar wasn’t just an influence — he’s my real-life mentor. I took his comedy class early in my journey, and his guidance helped me find my voice, polish my timing, and understand the business side of being funny. His authenticity, crowd control, and message-driven comedy left a mark that shaped the performer I am today.

These icons helped build my foundation — but I stand on their shoulders with my own mix of Southern roots, step-parenting stories, church wisdom, and animated impersonations.

Every set I do is a blend of inspiration, experience, and the lessons I picked up from the greats — especially the one who mentored me face-to-face.
