David Bratton Jr - Drums and Bass
Overview
I play drums, bass guitar, and organ. I’ve played bass guitar, B-3 organ and/or drums for: Broadway's MJ (Michael Jackson) The Musical First National Tour, Richard Smallwood, Vickie Winans, Earnest Pugh, The Brooklyn Tabernacle, The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral and countless more. Organ I’ve just been playing for local churches who needed a fill in or a show that needed an organist to fill in.
I do not play pipe organ.

What to expect
### What to Expect
When you hire me, you’re getting more than a musician. You’re getting a versatile, experienced live entertainer who knows how to read a room, adapt to the moment, and deliver a professional performance from the first note to the last.
As a multi-instrumentalist, I perform on bass, drums, and organ, with experience spanning "MJ the Musical (Michael Jackson)" on Broadway and its First National Tour, international touring, live events, churches, private functions, concerts, and studio work. My performance style is rooted in musicianship, energy, and connection with the audience without allowing the music to become secondary to the experience.
For an audience, that means a performance that feels polished without feeling rigid. I bring the energy and professionalism of a full production to a room while understanding when to let the music breathe and when to turn up the intensity. Whether the setting calls for an elevated atmosphere, a high-energy celebration, a soulful live set, or an interactive performance, I adapt to the occasion.
For event planners, the experience is straightforward: professionalism, preparation, flexibility, and a performer who understands that the event is ultimately about the guests. I come prepared, communicate clearly, work well with other musicians and production teams, and understand how to operate within the larger vision of an event.
### Live Performance
I am available for:
* Private events and celebrations
* Corporate events and functions
* Weddings and receptions
* Concerts and festivals
* Church and worship services
* Artist performances and showcases
* Cocktail hours and social events
* Musical direction and ensemble support
* Session and studio work
I can perform as a solo musician or as part of an ensemble, depending on the needs of the event. My versatility allows me to move comfortably between supporting the atmosphere and becoming part of the main attraction.
### The Experience
The goal is simple: **good music, delivered professionally, in a way that makes the event better.**
Whether you need a musician who can hold down the groove, a multi-instrumentalist who can adapt to a changing set, or an entertainer who can help create a memorable experience for your guests, I bring the musicianship, versatility, and professionalism to make it happen.
Every event is different. The music should be able to meet it where it is.
