Dave On Piano

A tasteful blend of pop, soft rock, latin and swing can include can a variety of selections ranging from the 1920's to the present. A rendition of Billy Joel's "Piano Man" might be followed by Duke Ellington's "Take The A Train," which can lead into Bacharach & David's "Close To You."

Dave's sensitivity to the moment is conducive to his performance serving as a perfect compliment to any scenario. If setting the right ambience is your priority, Dave is your choice.

Brought up in northern Rhode Island, Dave Longo began learning piano at age 7. He claims to have been fortunate that every private teacher he ever had placed a heavy emphasis on improvisation. This is clearly evidenced in his creative style.

Although Dave attended Berklee College of Music for a short period of time, he credits his skills largely to his exposure to creative private instructors and actively listening to favorite artists of various genres.

He also has taught privately almost as long as he has played professionally, placing a focus on bringing out his student's individuality and creative abilities. His appreciation for his mentors has highly influenced his teaching style.

Dave made his way to Florida and lived in the Sarasota area where he offered private lessons to people of all ages. Recently, Dave has settled in the Clemson area and invests much of his time performing as a soloist for a variety of functions.
