Overview

I'm a singer/songwriter who sings mostly original folk music, and a some covers. I accompany myself on acoustic guitar, and perform music that is lyric based, often a reflection of my life experience. The songs are sometimes humorous, sometimes serious and reflective, but always insightful. I like to engage the audience, and enjoy getting to know the people I'm singing for. I often have a friend join me. She sings harmony, some lead, and plays celtic flute. It's always an entertaining time.

Booking information

Price range: $200 - $1000

Languages: English

Gig length: 90 - 180 minutes

What to expect

I bring an engaging personality along with well-written music. The time I spend at a gig includes conversation, stories about how and why the music was written, and a quality performance that has led to more than one standing ovation and invitation to return.

About

I'm a singer/songerwriter based in Golden, Colorado. I also am an expert woodworker and furniture maker, with some 40 years of experience. With degrees in Philosophy and Industrial Arts, I've found two ways to express my artistic side. Music has been a large part of my life for a long time, from church choirs to a college music minor, to various solo and group experiences over the years. All that gives food for thought, and lyrics for songs. I truly enjoy putting the experiences into the poetry of song.

Additional booking notes

I bring my own compact sound gear, and don't require a large stage area. An adequate living room area or patio (weather permitting) work nicely, as well as larger venues, such as churches or group event areas.

Set list

My set list includes many songs from my CD called Echoes in a Canyon, which can be heard on my website ((link hidden)), or sampled on CD Baby.

Influences and inspiration

Early influences include classical voice training and classical music. The exposure to old time Appalachian music and bluegrass brought a great love of original and traditional music, and the combination of the two has led me to my own version of traditional music.

Setup requirements

Adequate electrical outlets and lighting.
