Often referred to as "Mr. Smoooooth," I am an Actor and Vocal Performer, singing music from Pop to Jazz to Classical. Tucson audiences enjoy my rich, smooth, baritone/tenor voice and warm personal magnetism. I perform dinner music at restaurants, dance music for special events and private parties, local retirement communities, and I gladly perform at public events and celebrations. In 2012, I sang at the Vatican with "Sons of Orpheus -- the Male Choir of Tucson,” and in 2016 at Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris.
I am Voice Talent, and regularly record voice overs for PSA's, radio and TV advertisements. I was elected to Independent Film Arizona’s Top 100 Actors List for 2015.
Darwin was a great entertainer for our senior living community! The residents enjoyed his singing and ability to interact with the audience.
Response from Darwin and Evolution:
This was a wonderful opportunity to once again interact with seniors in a "Memory" Unit. The atmosphere was lovely and Lorraine was most helpful. A fun gig!
Blessings!

I will provide an appropriate mixture of musical styles, Master of Ceremonies coordination and humor, to either add background music for a dinner party, wedding reception, or memorial service; or to be primary entertainment for an event. I can work as a solo act using backing tracks, or with a three (3) to five (5) piece combo. Let me enhance your event with Mr. Smoooooth's inimitable style!
Performing under his first name only, Darwin, or Mr. Smoooooth, grew up in Washington, D.C. He has been active in choral singing since high school, when his choir sang in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol Building for the 100th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. He attended Bethany College, Bethany, West Virginia, where he sang with both the Concert Choir and Male Chorus.
He has been an active part of Tucson’s arts community for more than forty (40) years, as both a professional singer and professional actor. He was a part of the 1987 Artist Ambassadors Concert Tour of the Soviet Union and was a resident member of the Southern Arizona Light Opera Company.
Tucson audiences clearly enjoy Darwin’s rich, smooth, baritone/tenor voice and his warm personal magnetism. Darwin provides an appropriate solemn addition to funeral and memorial services. He also performs dinner music at restaurants, provides dance music for weddings, special events and private parties, entertains regularly at local retirement communities, is a featured soloist at local churches, and gladly performs at public events and celebrations. He is a featured soloist with “Sons of Orpheus, the Male Choir of Tucson,” and was with them in 2012 when they sang at the Vatican in Rome, and in 2016 when they sang at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
Darwin is Artistic Director for Transformational Ministries. where he provides and promotes creative spiritual and secular ceremonies and celebrations for persons of diverse faiths, cultural and life-style backgrounds.
I will provide necessary sound equipment for events up to 200 people. I do require staging and lighting setup, and appropriate electrical connections.
