My name is Darrell Mangum, and I play the guitar and sing great songs.
I also play the best banjo songs you've ever heard! I'm good for a small group, or a big stage. I can be the main show, or provide background entertainment.
I'm also a professional story teller. My best stories are about the old west. I love stories about western outlaws, like Butch Cassidy.
I'm also well known for Christmas stories,
and humorous stories,
and stories about America and Americans,
and I tell ghost stories that'll kill ya!
I am able to travel anywhere to tell stories. No distance too great.

A friend once introduced me to a group by saying,
"If Darrell left this evening, and stayed over night in the smallest, most remote little town you can think of, he would come back the next morning and tell stories about his little trip for the rest of the day."
I've been telling stories my whole life, and if I were to name my greatest skill, it would be that I have the ability to hold an audience in the palm of my hand. Eye contact with everyone is my goal. I want everyone in the audience to feel like I'm speaking directly to him or her.
I want my audience to understand everything I have to say, I don't want them to miss a single detail. I'm good at communicating. That's what my audiences tell me.
I've been teaching and performing since forever.

I've tried my hand at stand up comedy.
I've presented a seminar on the relationship between humor and communication for many years.
I'm married to the very lovely Julie, and we have a wonderful family.
