Our intention is to raise awareness and stir curiosity about Samba as we take our audience on an artistic and cultural journey through each performance. We strive to engage our community, evoke memory, inspire movement, and honor this rich cultural history through storytelling and dance.

Danielle Lima is a Professional Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From early age Danielle discover a passion for samba when she joined the kids wing at Samba School Beija-Flor de Nilopolis where she parades for many years and developed her own samba no pe style inspired by some of the greatest passistas of Beija-flor. Danielle’s dance education also comes from her studies at the Dance Studio Valeria Brito, at Dance Center of Rio where she studies Ballet, Jazz, modern and National Folklore Dances. In 2000, Danielle leaves Brazil to work with Ringling Bros. and Barnun & Bailey dance troupe where she toured for 3 years. Later in 2005, located in New York City Danielle began teaching Samba in Djoniba Drum & Dance Center one of the most traditional dance school specialized in African and Diaspora Dances. In her journey teaching Danielle meet with the other dancers members of the group that share the same passion for Brazilian culture. Together they had performed at the 1st and 2nd International Samba Congress in LA, Samba Congress in Canada and in Queen and King of the Drum contest in AZ. The group intention is to raise awareness and stir curiosity about Samba as they take the audience on an artistic and cultural journey through each performance. They strive to engage communities, evoke memory, inspire movement, and honor this rich cultural history through storytelling and dance.
