Daniella is fantastic!

We thoroughly enjoyed Daniella’s performance for our 50th Anniversary Party! She is so professional and accommodating, and her music was the highlight of our evening! What a talent! Having Daniella come and sing for us was the best idea I’ve had in ages and I’m so glad she was here. Her beautiful voice filled our garden and made our hearts soar, it was so incredible. A wonderful experience that we’ll remember for years.

Birthday Party for our 100 year old friend

Daniella was absolutely wonderful...When we met and shook hands someone asked me how long had we known each other! It did feel like a close and dear friend had arrived. The songs were all wonderful, sung with feeling and heart. Everyone, including the birthday boy, enjoyed the entire day and the music could not have been better. Daniella fit right in as though she had been there before and knew everyone by their first names!
Such a lovely young woman, so talented and yet so down to earth!
Thank you Daniella...Hope to see you in the future.....All the best!

About

Daniella St Martin is a lyric soprano, pianist and music educator who has enchanted audiences in Europe and America as a dynamic concert soloist as well as having performed operatic roles with such companies as San Francisco Lyric Opera, Tyrolean Opera, Berkeley Opera and Florence Opera. She is currently based in the Sonoma County.

Performance Bio:
With a versatile instrument that has been described as “warm, rich… a beautiful combination of colours,” Daniella St Martin’s past roles include Mimi (La Bohème), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), and the title role of Euridice in Gluck’s Orfeo e Euridice. Ms. St Martin has appeared in concert performing roles such as the Marschallin Princess (Der Rosenkavalier) and the title role of Lakmé. Ms. St Martin has also performed as a soloist with the United States National Choir in Luxembourg, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Austria. She is fluent in English and Italian, and can read roles/has trained diction for the performance of German, French and Russian.

With a passion for contemporary works, Ms. St Martin is delighted to collaborate with composers to bring new music to the stage and has performed several solo concert debuts by award-winning composer Gerald Pimental, the world-wide debut of Ireland's Poet-Patriots, a fully orchestrated work by highly praised Maestro Richard B. Evans, River Opera in 5 Acts by Hugh Livingston, and Agamemnon by Brian Wilson.

Having sung contemporary music, jazz, musical theater, blues and soul, well before receiving formal classical training, Ms. St Martin continues to dabble in other genres of musical performance. She recently was a featured soloist commemorating the centennial of French singer Edit Piaf, and she frequently sits in on local jazz sessions. She studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she studied with Leroy Kromm and went on to study with Sheri Greenawald at San Francisco Opera, Arden Sugarman Eliopolous, (SF Conservatory Faculty Alum,) and Patrizia Morandini, (Maestra, Florence Opera.)

Music Educator Bio:
As a teacher Ms. St Martin engages with students and audiences through a variety of educational platforms. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Artists' Salon, which brings professional classical music into the home, can be found instructing masterclasses throughout the San Francisco bay area, leads songwriting workshops, children's music ministry, directs musical theater camps, and offers private vocal and piano lessons.

Daniella has worked with over 600 private students of all ages and levels over the past 15 years, has founded several youth choirs, including teen a cappella ensembles, and a international bilingual youth chorus based in Florence, Italy sponsored by the Royal Corsini Family. She has worked as a music director at the following schools/organizations:

Archdioses of San Francisco
St Anthony's Catholic Parish
HEAL Harmony Emerging As Love
San Francisco Waldorf High School
First Presbyterian Church of Santa Rosa
Old Adobe Elementary School
STAGE Musical Theater Workshops
Marin School of the Arts
The Napa School of Music
Rosa Parks Elementary School
Marin Childrens Choir
Sonoma United Methodist Church

Daniella specializes in private vocal and piano lessons, advanced music theory instruction, songwriting, and composition. She offers a warm professional environment where students of all ages and levels are encouraged, challenged and inspired. While learning a classical technique that will bring the most natural agility out of their instrument, students are also exposed to a wide range of repertoire to suit their interests such as Jazz, Broadway, Musical Theater, Opera, Pop, Blues, and Folk music. In group settings, Daniella often accompanies students on the Baritone Ukulele, which allows her to move freely throughout a classroom.

Additional booking notes

Please note, in the world of classical voice, not all vocal ranges are the same! Daniella is a Dramatic Lyric Soprano which has the widest range of vocal repertoire available! Even so, occasionally a request is made for repertoire which is not appropriate for a lyric soprano, or for a song which is sung by a male opera character. There are some exceptions when the voice can be stretched outside of its range or when singing a famous male aria can be gracefully presented, but usually, Daniella will work with event planners to achieve their vision in a way that incorporates repertoire for Dramatic Lyric Soprano.
