Overview

I am a travelin’ troubadour based in Kentucky but willing to go wherever! I sing and play guitar, write many originals and play many covers of many genre. My music is a mix of outlaw/neo traditional country, blues, grass, folk, southern rock, and a tinge of psychedelia. I am naturally personable and love to connect with the audience while performing. I play traditional style concert shows but also play as background music for events if it makes sense for the both of us.

What to expect

This is where you come for the REAL stuff. Real music, real soul, a real person on stage giving you their real self.

This is not where you come to ask me to play All My Exes or whatever you want a jukebox for! Will I be polite as I decline? Absolutely. Will I decline? Yes.

As a solo artist, I’ll be more intimate. As a full band, we’ll bring a lot of energy and sound great.

I’m a perfectionist over my craft! It is truly living art to me! What you think is often great, I often think barely good enough. Makes me a good safe bet for booking if this is what you’re looking for.

About

Daniel Cain… an original singer-songwriter & artist hailing from the small town of Stanford, Kentucky - where the Foothills of the Appalachian Mountains meet the Kentucky Bluegrass. .
A natural-born genre-bender, Daniel’s love of music is evident in his original tunes which include hues of bluegrass, psychedelia, grassy Appalachia folk, country, rock and blues. His lyrics are borne from the heart and explore a myriad of themes from good vs evil, life & death, everyday experiences, relationships and his love of the outdoors and nature.
As someone recently put it, Daniel is Young && Hungry..
Since his start, Daniel has touched the heart && soul playing at many venues and festivals in Kentucky and now delving into surrounding states and beyond. Daniel is actively available to book in a variety of venues that range from intimate solo acts to full-band performances. He’s also a pretty friendly fella’, so come say hey!

Additional booking notes

I don’t have requirements for anything. I can bring full sound and all my gear and setup just about anywhere and play a show.

I love the idea of lighting, stage, sound, etc. provided and will always look towards those type gigs first but I can provide what you’re missing most likely.

WHEN TRAVELING: I love to have a place to stay, but not required.

Not trying to rob you blind for a show, just want to make it make sense for the both of us, so when it comes to any $$$ talk and accommodations, I’m an easy-going person to talk with.
