Dancer / Choreographer

HEATHER EASLEY (she/her) is a movement artist based in New York City, and working throughout New England. She holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and has had the privilege of training across the world in The Netherlands, London, Italy, and Berlin. Heather has trained with artists Jun Kuribayashi, Maxine Doyle, Mike Tyus, Nicolas Palmquist and companies such as Hofesh Shechter Company, Pina Bausch's Tanztheater Wuppertal, Gallim, Batsheva, BODYTRAFFIC, and Crystal Pite's Kidd Pivot. Her performance repertoire includes works by Loni Landon, Hofesh Shechter, Joseph Toonga, Hybridmotion, and Jessi Stegall, showcasing her versatility as a mover and performer.

In addition to her work as a performer, Heather is an educator and choreographer. She frequently serves as guest instructor at studios across the country, working with aspiring artists of all ages. Heather has taught at Arizona State University and London Studio Center, and she joined faculty at The Boston Conservatory in the (phone number hidden)3 academic year. Her choreography has been presented at Agganis Arena, Paramount Theater, Boston Conservatory Theater, and has collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, HBO, and Berklee's Honorary Doctorate Concert. Heather’s youth choreography has earned IDA nominations for "Best Contemporary” in 2021, 2022, and 2023, and she was named “Best Choreographer” at Turn It Up Nationals in 2023. Most recently, she was commissioned to create a new work on Maine Dance Company, set to premiere in the Fall of 2024.

Outside of the studio, Heather applies her talents in Arts Administration, focusing on Program Development and Direction. She has created and developed initiatives such as BPMI Dance, the Hybridmotion Training Program, and the co/motion dance + movement intensive, where she continues to serve as Director. Heather has collaborated with various companies and organizations, including Hybridmotion Dance Theatre, GALLIM, and Northeastern University.

I have no requirements for lighting and staging. An even surface to dance on with minimal debris and enough space to move in is required for performance and choreographing services.
