Dali Blu is a captivating and innovative singer & songwriter whose powerful yet sensual, sultry vocal style continues to rock any metro area. Born into a family of musical talent, "Blu" as she is known by many, is a product mix of a father who played piano and guitar, and a mom whose powerful theatrical voice is the foundation of her unique vocal style. Her edgy vocal sound is the foundation of her soulful strength that resembles powerhouse divas Etta James, Aretha Franklin or dynamic rockin’ queen Tina Turner. But then again she tempers your soul with the soft melodic sounds of love songs she writes from her heart. Dali keeps movin' on even after the many tragedies she has experienced over the years. "I finally returned to writing, recording and performing with a knock-down passion I feel whenever I sing" she says. "I know what I want my fans to feel....me!" “Shake Me Up”, “I Stand Alone” or “Could Never Say Goodbye” a song dedicated to the recent death of her sister demonstrates the passion, feeling and soul you can only feel once you've been there. Her upcoming CD, "Diamond in the Ruff"will soon be released and it is hot! Dali has performed with many bands in the New York City area including Hard Bargain, chosen as one of the "30 Best Bands" by Cornerband. Hard Bargain’s latest release, “More Than You Bargained For,” includes new originals by the group as well as Grammy nominees Jon & Sally Tiven, who have written and produced for Robert Cray, B.B. King, and the late Little Milton and Wilson Pickett. During Christmas of 2008, she performed for a military benefit in Times Square featuring Aretha Franklin covered on "Today's Weekend NBC". Dali is currently performing with Rus Paul, son of legendary musician and inventor, Les Paul credited with inventing the solid-body electric guitar “the log” in 1941. Dali has performed at resorts and venues such as the legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem, The Prudential Center Arena, The Shrine, The Bitter End, New York’s China Club, Sunset Station in San Antonio, TX, the magnificent MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and Nashville's Gaylord-Opryland Hotel.
