Cynthia Speer

Cynthia Speer began her singing career in the deep south, and from the very beginning was influenced by many of the Mississippi Delta and New Orleans blues and jazz singers. She refined her repertoire to include big band standards, the R&B pops of the 70s and 80s, and began including smooth jazz hits, when she moved to California in 1986. She has been performing in and around the So-Cal area at weddings, restaurants and clubs, private and corporate events and festivals as a soloist with high quality tracks, a duo with a guitarist or pianist, and with bands ranging in size up to an 18 piece orchestra. With 2 self-produced Jazz CDs, which can be heard on cdbaby dot com, she is planning her 3rd. Cynthia has performed onstage with the late greats Earl Palmer, Redd Calendar and Art Hillary, and the still-going-strong John Heard, who guest-starred on her first CD. Some venues she has performed at are The Downtown Biltmore, Beverly Hills Hotel, Yamashiro Hollywood, Crustacean and Caf’ Roma in Beverly Hills, Paradise Cove in Malibu and was Featured Vocalist for 11,000 attendance Humanitarian event at Astrodome-Philippines.
