The Caribbean Experience (CxpBand) is well know for our ability to fuse the Pop and R&B sounds of the US with the sweet flavors of the Caribbean. May 11, 2026Cienna and Floyd are a fun, dynamic duo and my event's attendees loved them. Love the mix steel drums, guitar and vocals that they both bring. Cienna can also sing several Spanish-language songs which was awesome for the multicultural crowd. Would absolutely hire again!

I typically follow the crowd in front of me. If I see a more subdued group into conversation, I would tone it back and pick up my guitar for some laid back instrumentals (Smooth Jazz caribbean style). If the crowd is ready to party, I'll break out the steel drum with high energy calypso, reggae and latin flavors. I would interact with the group by teaching them some dances like the dollar dance, electric slide, Cha Cha slide and things of that nature. If I need to keep the party in hight gear, I would flip hats and providing DJ services with the latest and oldies to keep it rocking. Whatever the need, I got you covered.
I am a Guitarist and Steel Drummer based out of Brandon FL. I started playing guitar in 1975 on an island in the West Indies called Grenada. Migrated to the U.S. and settled in Brooklyn New York. My first year of college, I started playing Pop Rock and R& B with a local band. Through the years, we eventually migrated to Heavy/Speed Metal (ala Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Slash of Guns-N-Roses). Moved to Florida in 1994 and joined a Reggae band. Coming full circle to the beginning of my journey into the fusion of all my musical influences. Along the way, I was able to teach myself steel drums about 10 years ago (2002). With my experiences and all the people I have come in contact with throughout the years I am able to bring to you Caribbean Experience.
Caribbean Experience. It is a concept that I came up with after playing in various genres of music. I able to bring you authentic caribbean music with a fusion flavor as a solo musician, Duo, Trio or four piece band. We bring many years of performing experience to your Convention, Wedding, Private Party, Restaurant, Hotel and other various events. Affordable entertainment without compromising on quality.
I own limited lighting for small events / Venue, but have access to full lighting for larger events.

Set list can vary depending on the type of music being played. Laid bad for dinner or more festive for dancing portion of wedding. I will watch the crowd for guidance.
Being a guitarist for over 25 years and a Steel Drummer for over 10 years, they list is to large to fit in such a small space. I can tell you that the Third World, Earth Wind & Fire, George Benson, santana, Van Halen, Steve Vai, Toto, Pink Floyd, Peter Tosh, Johnny Nash and Bob Marley are a few.
Outdoor events require Shelter from the elements. Most events require a power source. The only exceptions are Wedding Ceremony / cocktail hour in remote places or on the beach. I have a small power supply that would last a few hours.
